We have spent some time with Clare Marsh, AllCall’s new Business Manager! Get to know our latest recruit on a more personal level.
What do you love about your role?
The thing I love most about my role is the variety of the day to day. No two days are the same which keeps things interesting and exciting.
How did you get to where you are today?
For the past two years I worked as a web developer which I loved. Before that I worked in a managerial position, where I oversaw a small team and ran projects which sought to further build, and increase the success of the department. From both of those roles I wanted to find something which was the perfect combination of the strengths developed in both positions, the problem solving/technical elements of development with the leadership, client/team-based elements of managing.
How do you unwind after a day in the office?
The best ways I find to unwind after a day in the office are going for a walk with my dog, cooking, streaming a comfort show or watching something on YouTube.
If you could harness any super-power what would it be?
Teleportation – it would mean I could travel really easily both abroad and to see family and friends. Would be amazing if I could cut out the least enjoyable part of a holiday for me (the plane and airport process) and see way more places (for way less money). I’d love to instantly have access to the climate/food or culture you’re craving on just a random day off, or to be able to pop over to my friend’s house for a brew.
What’s your go to Karaoke song?
Escape (The Piña Colada Song) – although in all honesty, I see karaoke as more of a spectator sport…
What is your favourite film?
I think it for sure depends on the day but for today I’d say Spirited Away is a classic go too.
